Knowledge Base Content Guidelines

Last Updated: May 8, 2026
Effective Date: May 8, 2026
Version: 1.1
These Knowledge Base Content Guidelines (“Guidelines”) explain the terms under which you may upload content to your Bae-i avatar’s knowledge base.

1. YOUR AUTHORIZATION

By uploading any content to your avatar’s knowledge base, you represent and warrant that:
•
You own the content or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use it
•
You have the right to authorize Bae-i to use the content for the limited knowledge base, avatar training, response generation, safety, quality, and legal compliance purposes described in these Guidelines
•
The content does not infringe on any third party’s intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets
•
You accept full responsibility for ensuring the content complies with applicable laws and any third-party terms of service
Bae-i relies on these representations. You agree to indemnify and hold Bae-i harmless from any claims arising from content you upload.

2. WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE

Content You Typically Have Rights To

•
Content you created yourself (articles, presentations, podcasts, videos)
•
Your own social media posts and written materials
•
Content where you have obtained explicit permission from the rights holder
•
Public domain materials and appropriately licensed Creative Commons content

Content That Typically Requires Caution

•
Books, journals, or articles you purchased or subscribe to (purchase ≠ AI training rights)
•
Content you appeared in but did not produce (e.g., podcast guest appearances, interviews)
•
Content created by your employer or under work-for-hire arrangements
When in doubt, obtain written permission from the rights holder or consult with a legal professional.

3. HOW YOUR CONTENT IS USED

Your avatar uses LLM technology for its knowledge base training and retrieval. Portions of your uploaded content may appear in avatar responses, either directly quoted or closely paraphrased. This is why you must have commercial use rights to any content you upload.
Your uploaded knowledge base content is used to build, operate, maintain, and improve your specific avatar and its dedicated knowledge base. Bae-i may also use de-identified and aggregated data derived from Creator Content and avatar interactions for shared platform systems used for safety, abuse prevention, quality improvement, and service reliability, as described in the Creator Licensing Agreement and Privacy Center.
Bae-i does not use uploaded knowledge base content to train a general creator-agnostic avatar model that can reproduce or closely imitate your content outside your avatar. We also do not authorize third-party AI providers to use your uploaded knowledge base content for their own independent model training, except where separately disclosed and agreed.

4. CONTENT RETENTION, REMOVAL, AND REVOCATION

Creators may request removal of specific uploaded content or may revoke permission by terminating participation under the Creator Licensing Agreement.
Upon termination or a valid removal request:
•
Your avatar will stop using the removed content for new knowledge base retrieval and response generation after the request is processed
•
Your dedicated creator models, including your knowledge base, voice clone, and video avatar model, will be deleted from production systems within 30 days where termination requires full removal
•
Bae-i will not use removed Creator Content for training new models after removal or termination
•
Limited copies may remain in encrypted backups, which age out on a rolling schedule not exceeding 365 days and are not accessible for production use
•
Minimal records may be retained for tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance
•
Contributions already incorporated into shared platform safety, abuse-prevention, or quality systems cannot be surgically removed from trained shared models, but those models contain statistical patterns from aggregate data and are not intended to reproduce identifiable copies of your content
If you disconnect a source account, revoke a platform authorization, or remove a URL/feed from your avatar, Bae-i will stop future ingestion from that source after the change is processed. Previously ingested content remains subject to the removal and retention rules above.

5. CONTENT QUALITY TIPS

For the most effective avatar training, prioritize:
•
Conversational content where you speak naturally (podcasts, interviews, talks)
•
Q&A format content where you answer questions
•
Recent and diverse content covering the breadth of your expertise

6. SUPPORTED FILE FORMATS

•
Text: PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown
•
Audio: MP3, M4A, WAV
•
Video: MP4, MOV
•
Data: CSV, XLSX
Use descriptive file names and provide context about when content was created.

7. COPYRIGHT QUESTIONS AND REMOVAL REQUESTS

If you believe content in an avatar knowledge base infringes your copyright, report it to legal@baei.ai with enough detail for us to identify the work and the material concerned. See the Privacy Center’s Copyright Policy for what to include. You may also contact legal@baei.ai with general copyright questions.

8. QUESTIONS?

If you have questions about whether specific content is appropriate for your knowledge base, contact us at support@baei.ai.
